BEFORE THE TREATMENT
1. How is the Venus Versa™ AC Dual acne treatment performed
The skin of the face is cleansed, and the chosen ingredients are placed in the sterile tube of Aquagold device. It is then pressed into the skin in an overlapping pattern. The device works with 20 tiny, precisely spaced needles delivering product into the skin at the ideal depth of 600 microns. The hollow needles hold the product. The needles sit on a platform, and are smaller than a human hair. The needles are inserted into the skin and then pulled back out, leaving the product behind. This creates a soft, natural-looking result, leaving the face looking smoother, tighter, and rejuvenated. The micro needles stimulate cellular renewal in the upper layer of the skin through gentle needling, while the solution is dispersed into the dermis to enhance results.
2. How many sessions will I need to see results?
Usually requires 6-10 treatments, 1-2 times per week and sun restriction.
3. How often/far apart should the treatments be?
We recommend spacing your treatments at least 3 days apart.
DURING THE TREATMENT
1. How long does a treatment session last?
Each session takes a quick 15-20 minutes on average, making it easy to fit into a lunch break, before or after work, or over a busy weekend. There’s no downtime, which means patients can go back to their regular routine immediately following each treatment.
2. What does the treatment feel like/Will it be painful?
The treatments are quite comfortable, thanks to an advanced real-time cooling system built into the applicator. The parameters can also be adjusted for more sensitive areas, like the upper lip, to ensure even greater comfort.
AFTER THE TREATMENT
1. How will my skin feel after my treatment?
Your skin may feel warm, like a sunburn, and can remain red for anywhere from a few hours to a day. Be sure to follow instructions for before and after your treatment.
2. How long will the results last and are they permanent?
Most patients will see the best results after eight to 10 treatments, scheduled twice a week for a month. How long results are maintained varies from patient to patient and is dependent on severity of the skin and post-procedure skin care. Follow-up sessions are recommended. Once the acne begins clearing up, the time between treatments may be increased.
3. Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime. You can return to your daily schedule immediately after your treatment.
4. Do I need to do anything after my treatment?
It’s best to avoid tanning for two weeks or more both before and after each treatment. Always wear sunscreen; a minimum of SPF 30 is recommended. Hot baths or showers, massages, and any treatment that requires direct skin contact should be avoided for two days post-treatment.
5. If I got a treatment on my face, can I put makeup up on right after?
Makeup can be applied right after the treatment—just don’t forget the sunscreen!
